lyrics
I hold the Key
Eternal life
In pain I toil
To move through time
Mourning's End
Memories of older times
Filter through the murky sky
To be gone ever more
For none to mourn of this
My poison self projected on the living
My death is not the end
Even as life escapes
Memories remain
To drown in sorrow and pain
To weigh on those
cursed to stay behind
Affliction in my name
Ghost of the past
Wising for cessation
As time goes on
Generations pass
Guilt stricken as I wish
For their death
Death is the key
To end the suffering
In the abyss
The dark embrace
Each death brings more relief
Memory will fades
Time passes to wash away
The scourge of the past
Closer and closer
Coming to meet the end
desperately hoping
To step inside the void
Reeling in darkness
twisted and convulsing
Gazing at nothing
And yet everything
Into the vortex
Pulled out of time
Realm of the empty
Accepting of me
Memories of older times
Filter through the murky sky
To be gone ever more
For none to mourn of this
My poison self projected on the living
My death is not my end
As time passes my memory will fade
To all but a note of the past
Even this will fall away
And soon the last thought
Will sentence me to the void
And finally to die in peace
I've been a huge fan of this band since hearing 'Campfires', an album which I've played to death! This one is a little different in a way, and it took me sooooo long to get in to, but once it clicked, holy shit did it click. Sea Fire is an absolute banger that evokes sounds of Filosofem era Burzum and Mystifier to my ears...not a bad mix at all. I love 'Ghostly Shores' so much I bought the CD and the Cassette and now I eagerly await whatever comes next from OCR. Skek-Gra
I'd say Havukruunu is the rightful holder of the Crown and the mantle of Quorthon. Epic choirs, vikingesque themes and tales from the other times, of the Finnish paganism back in the days before our ancestors were brought to the cross and forced to kneel while feeling the bloody sword of saviour on their throats made to kiss the hand of murderers who burnt thousands, tore down our holy places and took our holy days. Eyes teary I listen to these songs, never forgiving the crimes of the cross! Peikonmieli
Joseph Hawker subverts the musical and sociopolitical status quo with a black metal triptych that's as incendiary as it is impressionistic. Bandcamp New & Notable Jan 5, 2022
I think I discovered this one (well, Saor in general) in 2022. In addition to an embalming soundtrack go-to, it's definitely a cold-weather favorite. skyturtles
