lyrics
At birth singular entity
No light no dark
Unthinkable Emptiness
To grow outwards
Cosmic dust forming all
Reaching out
All things walk in its path
Yet we are blind
Cosmic dust created everything
A force of power
Unseen by all
Our eyes they lie
Showing colour in the world
We see so many
Yet there is only one
All the same at birth
And at death
All dust formed
And broken down
Disgusting acts of betrayal and hatred
Punished for difference yet all the same
Self apointed superiority
Worthless all the same
As it grew travelling on
Dispersing its load it left a seed
A gift to all to be returned at death
Cosmic dust forming all
Reaching out
All things walk in its path
Yet we are blind
Cosmic dust created everything
A force of power
Unseen by all
Our eyes they lie
Showing colour in the world
We see so many
Yet there is only one
All the same at birth
And at death
All dust formed
And broken down
After all is gone
In our eyes
We no longer exist
Over is our time
Cosmic dust forming all
Reaching out
All things walk in its path
Yet we are blind
Cosmic dust created everything
A force of power
Unseen by all
Dust of our past
Travels on
Forever through
The universe
Countless time
After humanity is dead
Our lives our memories
Lost yet still we explore
We all are dust
Our lives mean only
What they do while alive
Let's see...On the plus side: great musical ideas, great arrangements, lots of potential. On the downside: lyrics too cheesy, songs are lacking a bit of length: they always kind of fall short. There are great riffs, but the songs need more development. overall, very interesting: let's see what comes next. 7/10 SEBASTIEN COTE
The first 30 seconds of "Revenge by Fire" convinced me to get the whole album! It is a face-melting blend of speed and black metal, reminiscent of Hellripper! KVAEN is a Swedish solo project much like Hellripper but many known guest musicians helped J. Björnfot in his endeavor. Altogether it is really a solid debut album, I loved the melodies and the pace changes in the second half too, ending with a "calm" instrumental one. Well-done!! sachavonkarl74
Pretty much the best Black/Speed Metal I've listened to since I learned about Evil Invaders and Vulture. Everything you'd love to be reminded of about this musical era is there. The influences are what you'd expect too: Motörhead, Venom, Bathory, early Slayer, Celtic Frost; aggressive vocals, tortured guitar solos, pounding drums; everything is fast, clear and still a little grimy, but without reverb cranked up to the max. Amazing band, amazing album. Odiumediae
Joseph Hawker subverts the musical and sociopolitical status quo with a black metal triptych that's as incendiary as it is impressionistic. Bandcamp New & Notable Jan 5, 2022
Crushing blackened doom from this German band that counterbalances blinding fury with moments of surprising, melancholy melody. Bandcamp New & Notable Jul 8, 2023
The eight tracks on the latest from German black metal band pummel and hiss, working occasional atmospheric moments into the din. Bandcamp New & Notable Mar 12, 2022
